What We do

Our Fatherless Foundation was created to help end the fatherless epidemic, one family at a time. Our mission is fulfilled through our C.A.R.E initiative. The C in care is for connecting families (fathers with their children). A is for accountability. We believe in the power of holding fathers accountable as positive enforcement to ensure families stay connected. The R is for resources, and E is for education. Providing easily accessible support, information, training, workshops, mentorship, and skill-building helps keep fathers and father figures confident, engaged, and better equipped to serve and provide for children and families.

For us, fathers aren't restricted to only paternal beings but include various male influences expanding the scope and redefining fatherhood from a communal perspective. We equip fathers and father figures with tools to be present, healthy, and active participants in the lives of youth.

Youth Mentoring is Effective

The National Mentoring Partnership along with Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth Outcome Initiative report confirms the positive impact mentoring has on young people, especially at-risk youth, to help them succeed in school, work, and life. Young adults who were at-risk for falling off track but had a mentor are:

Legal consultative services

At Our Fatherless, we know the legal process can be an intimidating and costly endeavor. We desire to support fathers by offering access to free legitimization services. We will also fund a portion of the fees necessary to file for joint, or full custody of their child (ren), dependent upon available funding. Also, we are partnered with legal councilors with a passion for assisting fathers with questions about the legalities of the paternal judicial process.

For the fathers who are in the process of reentering into society or have recently reentered, we offer special assistance for reconnecting with their children.
